How to synchronize Outlook with Simple CRM?

Synchronizing contacts

You will first have to synchronize your contacts with GMAIL.
This will also allow you to synchronize your contacts with your iPhone or Android mobile phone.

Then, you will need to synchronize your Outlook via this free application https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gappssync.
This application only works with Google APPS accounts. For classic GMAIL addresses, please use freeware: http://googlesyncmod.sourceforge.net.

Synchronizing the calendar

Your iCal feed is in the Administration -> User area.

Since version 4.8, Simple CRM allows the automatic sending of forms from your site to your Simple CRM database.

To benefit from this, you must ask the Simple CRM sales department to install this module. You can find the prices for the module here.

If you are using Wordpress, install and configure the Contact Form 7 plugin.
Once installed, configure it as follows.

1) In the “Form” field, create the form fields.
In the example below, we created a form with the following fields: Name, First Name, Email, Phone, Company, Function, Message.


Here is the text of the form in the above example:

2) In the “Email” field, enter:
- the recipients of the email: one for the website manager, one for the Simple CRM user concerned by the form. This email address can be viewed in Simple CRM, Admin module (top menu → Admin → User list)
- the topic of the interaction that will be created in Simple CRM
- the body of the email that will serve to create records in Simple CRM



Here is the text of the email from the above example:

3) Insert the form on the page of your website
The short tag Wordpress is indicated at the top of the settings page of the Contact Form 7 form.

4) Test the form

  1. Fill out the form and send it.
  2. In Simple CRM, once logged in with the Simple CRM user account, click the “Raise Inbox” button.
  3. You will then get interaction with a related contact (and a related company if needed).

How do I save the data in Simple CRM on my computer?

It all depends on what you mean by saving.

You can synchronize your calendar with a local client, such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Sunbird, via the ICAL feed. This is already a first copy allowed by Simple CRM.

Via our CONTACT - GMAIL synchro, you can also synchronize your contacts with Outlook via the tools: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gappssync.

Please note that this software only works with Google APPS. For classic GMAIL accounts, please use freeware: http://googlesyncmod.sourceforge.net.

You can more simply, export a contact from its card, by clicking on the button "VCard - Export this contact in Outlook / Thunderbird".


If by saving, you mean copying the content present in Simple CRM, to read it from Microsoft Excel, Open Office or Libre Office, this is also possible.

You can indeed, at any time, recover the data via the export modules. Note that Simple CRM only allows this function to the CRM administrator.

Contacts and Companies: from the Administration area, button "Export contacts and companies in CSV format".

Interactions: from Interaction, button "Export Interactions".

In Google Contact, how do I add contacts to the "SimpleCRM" group?

If you want to transfer your contacts located in Google Contact to Simple CRM, you must attach your contacts to the "Simple CRM" group.

For that:

open your GMail mailbox then open Google Contact

in Google Contact, in the left menu, click on "All contacts

move your mouse over one of the contacts, a check box appears on the left, check this box




Once the box is checked, a menu appears at the top of the page, click on it, and click on "Select all".




the top menu is still visible, to the right, click on the "Group" icon



tick the "SimpleCRM" group

How to display the Simple CRM Calendar in Google Calendar

You can import your Simple CRM calendar to your Google Calendar.

1) Log into your Simple CRM account.

2) Click on the application launcher

3) Click on the "Synchronization" tab

4) Click on the "Calendar on Google" icon

5) Follow the explanations provided.

Important note: Google servers update external calendars only once or twice a day. The Google calendar will only reflect changes made in the Simple CRM calendar after several hours or even the next day.
Simple CRM cannot affect the frequency of Google calendar updates.

You can import your Simple CRM calendar into your Outlook email software.

1) Log into your Simple CRM account from the computer where you use Outlook.

2) Click on the application launcher

3) Click on the "Synchronization" tab

4) Click on the "Calendar on Outlook" icon

5) Follow the explanations provided.

How to import your Simple CRM calendar on your Android tablet or smartphone?

You can import your Simple CRM calendar to your smartphone or Android tablet.

1) Connect to your Simple CRM account with your mobile or Android tablet.

2) Click on the application launcher

3) Click on the "Synchronization" tab

4) Click on the "Calendar on Android" icon

5) Follow the explanations provided.

How to synchronize Thunderbird with Simple CRM?

Contact Synchronization

You will first have to synchronize your contacts with GMAIL. This will also allow you to synchronize your contacts with your iPhone or Android mobile phone. Calendar Synchronization

First, you must install Lightning.

The procedure is explained here:

Then you need to add the iCal Simple CRM feed into Lightening.

Your iCal feed is in the Administration -> User area.

How to synchronize your Google Contact account and your iPhone / Android mobile with Simple CRM?

Synchro SimpleCRM <-> Google <-> Mobile

The best is to first synchronize the mobile with the Google account, then synchronize Google with Simple CRM.

To do this, you must allow Simple CRM to communicate with Google Contact. Please read this explanation carefully:

1) Mobile synchronization configuration
Mobile and Android tablets
Settings -> Accounts and synchronization -> Add account
Choose the type of account "Google", enter the identifiers and choose to synchronize contacts.
Start a synchronization.

iPhone mobile / iPad tablets
Install and configure the Contacts Sync for Google Gmail with Auto Sync application
Synchronization starts automatically

2) On the Gmail account, in Contacts, create a "SimpleCRM" group (without quotes).
Put all the contacts you want to synchronize with SimpleCRM in this "SimpleCRM" group.
All these contacts MUST HAVE A UNIQUE EMAIL ADDRESS.
If some contacts do not have an email address, do not put them in the "SimpleCRM" group.

3) On the mobile, start a synchronization. The "SimpleCRM" group will be created on the mobile and the contacts of this group (step 2) will be put in the SimpleCRM group of the mobile.

4) Backup Google Account contacts

5) Google Synchro <-> SimpleCRM
On SimpleCRM, go to Contacts, and click on "Google Synchro".
Contacts in the Google Account "SimpleCRM" group will be sent to SimpleCRM and vice versa.

Then regularly it is necessary to follow:
Synchro SimpleCRM<->Google
Synchro Google<->Mobile

then again Synchro SimpleCRM<->Google

Integrate Simple CRM Calendar into iPhone Calendars under IOS7

You can import your Simple CRM calendar on your iPhone or iPad

1) Log into your Simple CRM account from your iPhone or iPad.

2) Click on the application launcher

3) Click on the "Synchronization" tab

4) Click on the "Agenda on iPhone" icon
